The Double Down was a collaboration between MXR and Jack White (The White Stripes & Third Man Hardware). The challenge of this collaboration was how much of each brand to feature in the final product. The sweet spot for all parties involved in Double Down was about 50/50. The final design boasts the color palette and visual style of Third Man Hardware, but retains the typography and layout standards of a traditional MXR electronic effect pedal.
