In celebration with Primal Scream’s ‘Screamadelica’ 30th Anniversary album release, Dunlop released a special edition Fuzz Face effect pedal wrapped with the band’s iconic album art. The band used the effect in the studio while recording the album in 1991 to get some of the more iconic fuzzed out guitar sounds. The design approach was to pay homage to Paul Cannell’s original painting and to be fairly straight forward and bold. We matched the album note-for-note. I chose to keep that design theme when it came to the box design. I lifted Europa Grotesk Italic in a bold centered style from the album art to reinforce the link back to the band’s original album art. This commemorative Fuzz Face was produced in a run of only 500.
